HUNTINGTON, NY – The Clark Gillies Foundation, led by Islanders Hall of Famer Clark Gillies, made a gift of $250,000, as part of its planned commitment of $2 million to the Huntington Hospital pediatric emergency department.
Huntington Hospital is in the midst of constructing a new emergency department, which will double its previous capacity, and include a dedicated pediatric emergency department. The new emergency department is slated to be opened in the start of 2017.
"Caring for children requires specialized personnel and equipment; we appreciate the Clark Gillies Foundation's funding to help us treat the children in our area in a state-of-the-art yet comforting environment," said Gerard Brogan, Jr., MD, executive director of Huntington Hospital.
